Shoyu is a strong flavor enhancer, the healthy and liquid counterpart of the stock cube. Delicious to salt a dish or to enhance the natural taste of the ingredients. Shoyu is made from fermented soy and wheat. During the long fermentation process, natural enzymes convert the starches, proteins and fats of the raw soy into easily digestible nutrients. Shoyu cannot withstand prolonged heating and tastes great with wok dishes, sushi or steamed vegetables. This variant contains less salt than traditional shoyu.
