La BIO IDEA pasta is made in Sicily by Fattoria Barbagallo, a family business founded in 1911. The Barbagallos have been making the tastiest Italian pasta from the best durum wheat from Sicily in the traditional way for almost 100 years. Angelo Barbagallo, of the third generation, is now in charge of the pasta factory, where the wheat is completely processed from grains to the packed pasta. Barbagallo itself assesses the wheat quality, grinds the flour in 24 steps and slowly dries the formed pasta at a low temperature. All this is essential for the final quality of la BIO IDEA pasta.
