Kefir is a fermented milk drink that originated in the Caucasus. Rauw Power’s slightly sour, tasty drink is made from raw milk from Boerderij Het Hengelman in De Lutte. Their cows roam outside throughout the grazing season. Kefir is originally made with the ‘kefir plant’, a colony of hundreds of species of lactic acid bacteria and yeasts. A fresh and sour drink, with yeasts that produce carbonic acid and a number of vitamins that help the bacteria grow.
