Properties and benefits
The flowering tops of Hawthorn are rich in flavonoids and possess relaxing and calming properties, much appreciated by people with anxiety. Hawthorn has traditionally been used to regulate the heart rate and temper nervousness, favouring relaxation and a return torestful sleep.
Native to Europe and Asia, Hawthorn has since spread to all temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. Its flowering tops are the main herb used in phytotherapy, but its berries can also be used.
Usage tips
To be taken orally. From the age of 12.
- Take 3 capsules a day, preferably before meals and with a large glass of water.
Recommendations for use
- Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the absence of sufficient data.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
- A food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
