Description
Mascarpone is an Italian product from Lombardy that is a cross between cheese and cream. It is made from light (25%) cream, thickened by the addition of tartaric acid. It is a creamy and spreadable type of cheese. The best known application is in the Italian dessert Tiramisu, but it also does well in risotto.
