The word ‘pesto’ comes from the Italian word ‘pestare’, which means ‘grinding, shredding’. For this traditional pesto Genovese, fresh herbs, garlic, nuts and cheese are finely cut and mixed with oil. Thanks to the cold processing, a delicious aromatic sauce full of flavor is created.
